Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for Shortmaker (shortmaker.app). Payments for Shortmaker Pro are processed by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com, and refunds are issued through Paddle to your original payment method.

Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, refunds are also governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms and Refund Policy. Where this policy, Paddle's terms, or your local consumer laws give you greater rights, the highest level of rights always applies.

1. Free plan

The free plan does not require payment, so there is nothing to refund. You can use it for as long as you like and upgrade only when you choose to.

2. 14-day money-back guarantee

If you are not satisfied with Shortmaker Pro, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first Pro payment. We will refund that charge, no questions asked, and your Pro access will end.

3. Renewals and cancellations

Pro is a subscription that renews automatically (monthly or annually) until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings or from the management link in your Paddle receipt. When you cancel, you keep Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again.

Renewal payments (after the first 14 days) are generally non-refundable, but if you were charged for a renewal you did not intend to keep, contact us — we review these in good faith and on a case-by-case basis.

4. How to request a refund

Email hello@shortmaker.app from the address on your account, or reply to your Paddle order confirmation. Include your order or receipt number if you have it. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method; the time to appear on your statement depends on your bank or card issuer.

5. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits any refund or withdrawal rights you have under the consumer laws of your country (for example, EU/UK distance-selling rights or Brazil's Código de Defesa do Consumidor). Where such rights apply, they are in addition to the guarantee above.
